The dialog delivery felt kinda Dragnet-ish, but the story is great.
(For the record, I love the dialog delivery on Dragnet, but not because it's great...lol.)

I don't like the annoying girlfriend character, who seems to exist ONLY to provide an occasional sex scene and give the main character a sounding board for his musings. I hope they lose her in future seasons.
