Facebook etiquette question.

I, um, accidentally started a bit of a brouhaha on my Facebook over home schooling, and one of my friends has called another's post "ignorant". (They don't know each other.) I consider "ignorant" to be a trigger word myself. No conversation improves once it's in play. Should I PM the offending party and politely ask her to edit her post, or just let it go, and see what develops? I also know (from other status updates) that both parties are having a bad day, if that matters.

And I wasn't offended myself. I just felt some responsibility to moderate my wall. As it happened we chatted right after I posted this, and I did share my concerns. She's unapologetic, but that's okay, I guess. We'll find out when the other party responds...

Thank you for your response!
