There's not much I can say without giving out details, but it is a worthy sequel that cleverly ties up loose ends left by the original Blade Runner.

(17,018 posts)I loved the first one. I'm always a little leary when they come out with a sequel so many years later.

When I saw it - at the first showing 10AM Friday (couldn't wait!), it had to be the oldest, quietest crowd I have ever seen in a theater! Quite a tribute to the original, I think.

Big fan of the original (well, the original director's cut), and I was skeptical of a sequel. Most critics have praised the film--and rightly so--but they're saying that it's not quite as good as the first one. Maybe, maybe not.
I haven't really had a strong opinion about Gosling, but I loved him in this. And Jared Leto amazed me. After his ridiculous Joker in Suicide Squad, I assumed that he was no longer capable to subtlety or understatement.
A brilliant successor to the Scott film, and an entirely believable "future" of the Blade Runner universe where Roy Batty died.
Terrific Easter eggs and callbacks to the original, too.
And can I say a few words about Robin Wright? Holy shit is she a powerful screen presence! I liked her in Wonder Woman, but she really knocked my socks off here.
