he wouldn't let people blather on and on. Still, it was a waste of time with people trying to make themselves sound busy.

1. Meeting starts several minutes late because person in charge is yakking away with someone who is already seated.

2. First topic of conversation is mentioned quickly; over and done.

3. Second topic of conversation is immediately derailed by someone who should be discussing their personal "situation" with their own supervisor. Or HR. Or a psychiatrist.

4. See number three.
5. See number three.
6. See number three.
7. Meeting over.

It's that '95%of life is just showing up' attitude. There's a ton of management types out there who think that meetings in and of themselves are accomplishments-- not the kickoff to accomplishing something, not the wrap-up afterwards-- the actual justification of their existence.

1. stuff that doesn't apply to you
2. stuff that applies to you but has already been taken care of.
3. stuff that you could care less about.
