WATCH: Man and cat's handshake game is blowing people's minds

Secret handshakes and spirited fist bumps have been taken to a whole new level.

A man taught his cat how to fist-bump like a pro, and of course, it was all caught on camera.

The cat smoothly sticks out its paw for a high-five and brings it home with a fist-paw bump.

The video was shared to Twitter on Aug. 2 and has gone viral within days, with over 50,000 retweets and over 100,000 likes.

that just looks like normal cat behavior to me. Put out your hand and the cat slaps it. Hold up your fist and the cat slaps it. Stick your face in her face and the cat slaps it. Hold up a toy and the cat slaps it. Put anything in front of the cat, and the cat slaps it. So what?

Frankly, I don't think the man taught the cat anything, and people who are amazed by this are seriously gullible, and/or seriously stupid WRT cat behavior.

I've had cats around me for years and none of them have mastered that level of interaction with me despite my attempts to train them otherwise. The best that I've done so far is that when I'm at the kitchen counter my Siamese will get up on his back legs and reach up on my chest with his front legs to give me a hug.

It doesn't look like an open-pawed slap to me.

I don't want to be accused of discrimination against the thumbless.

MORE TO THE POINT;

WHY ARE YOU SO INVESTED IN "DE-BUNKING" A CUTE, EVEN SWEET, VIDEO?

It's just that there's so much fake crap on the Internet today that sometimes I get grumpy about yet another silly exaggeration.

I know it shouldn't bother me, but a steady diet of one "miracle", or "unbelievable thing" after another, when there's nothing "miraculous" or even slightly "unbelievable" going on just annoys me.

Especially considering that the whole human race is on the verge of extinction from a climate catastrophe that very few people seem to care about. In that context, a cat "fist bumping" someone is beyond trivial.

There can be cute, trivial stuff on the internet, and we can have fun with it. Is a cat "fist bump" or whatever it is "unbelievable" or "miraculous"? No, of course not. It's just another cute cat thing. I like cute cat things, and making a federal case over whether the cat slapped or bumped with his paw is way sillier than the video itself.
