Maybe you have an infection?

That's the only other thing I can think might be the problem...

My skin-care lady told me to treat the posts and my earlobes with Neosporin. It works for me!

6. In my left ear, I can wear any kind of earring, or none for several months, and it will never get

irritated or close up. In my right ear, I have not found anything that doesn't irritate it, and if I don't wear an earring for a week, it starts to close up.

10. i had that problem so i went with stainless steel and clean them in alcohol once in a while

and by stainless steel i mean the post too. the posts tend to be the size of studs or a little bigger, but they don't tarnish or corrode the way the surgical steel ones do.

I used to be able to put any old earring in. Heck, I could probably have found a paper clip in the street and worn that. I've become more and more sensitive, though, and now I have to use alcohol or peroxide on any earrings I want to wear.

It is a little weird.
