A mutual friend of ours was being honored with a birthday concert there, and I was hoping to meet him at the pre-performance reception, but Arlo wasn't there, and he wasn't at the post-concert gathering either. I was REALLY bummed.

As a side note, at the pre-reception for our friend I met a LOT of sixties legends. Tom Paxton, Peter Yarrow and Noel Stuckey, guys like that. There was one woman there and I kept staring at her because she looked REALLY familiar. She kept staring at me, too. Finally, I went up to her, and said "I know I should know your name because you look REALLY familiar," and she said, "YOU look really familiar, too, but I can't place your name, either." So we told each other our names, and neither of us had ever heard of the other before!

Unless she retook her maiden name after splitting with Ray. I heard she owned an gallery in Provincetown, but I have never been there. P-town is only 15 minutes from Truro, so maybe she'll be there indeed. She must be close to 80 by now. The show is being covered in part by the local community radio station, and I sometimes do a show together with the guy who will be manning their booth behind the ticket area, so who knows?

I'll let you know. Picture taking is not allowed there, so don't count on that.

The surfer is a millennial and he posted the picture out of the blue along with a photo of the album cover. Alice was indeed still called Alice Brock and looked quite well. I hope to see the surfer soon and get the details on the meeting. I hope you enjoy your show!

That doesn't means she wasn't there--she may have been in back. The public wasn't allowed back there. Some performers will circulate with the public (John Mayall, for example). This year, none of the three performers we saw (Jesse Colin Young, Graham Nash and Arlo) did that.
