I did, my oldest cats name '"Sporkweasel" came from a site that is universally deplored round these parts.

(182,877 posts)Cats actually are communist revolutionaries. Ever wonder why they always interfere with your reading and gaining knowledge? Yeah. Head blown I know but here's the thing - they aren't saying "Meow' (that's a PR stunk they started back in the 70's with top operative Morris) they are saying MAO!!!!

(22,048 posts)The vast majority of articles at TNR are the usual ridiculous GOP talking points. But about 20% of the time, the opinions expressed are deeply critical of Republicans and those articles often provide another insight into the awfulness of the GOP.
TNR is, of course, William F. Buckley, Jr.'s publication and even today, many of the writers are the intellectual heavyweights from the Right. When they express themselves with intelligence (mostly) devoid of the typical partisanship, these columns can be informative.

(24,259 posts)the Freeperville cesspool which I had accidentally stumbled onto, probably while searching for info on something political I had read. I originally thought it was a newspaper forum from the name... boy was I wrong ::shudder:: but at least it lead me to here so I'd say that was very useful... at least to me.
