Nav app mispronunciation

Where do navigation apps get their sometimes way-too-literal pronunciations?

I was driving with Siri calling the turns, and the word "National" was part of the road I needed to exit onto -- and she actually pronounced it "nat-ee-oh-null."

And when taking an exit towards Oklahoma City, where the highway sign abbreviates the lengthy name to "Okla City," Siri will dutifully tell me "Take exit 72 onto Eye Four Four west to Okla City."

Anyone else experience these kinds of quirks on the road?

There is a street in town called Mamie Eisenhower Way. My GPS pronounces it Mommie. I can't even begin to approximate how it pronounces Eisenhower.
