Woulda checked in before or during, but cell reception is for shit at Glen Helen.
Anyway,
Maiden was Maiden.
Ghost was hilariously bad.
Kamelot had sound problems.
Exodus thrashed excellently.
I was at The Battle of San Bernadino, Maiden was Maiden. The rest of the bands were great too. I saw Ghost in Riverside last year and it was one of the best shows I've seen. The frontman sacked that entire lineup and hired new members. Shame. Up the Irons!

(1,537 posts)It was an amazing show. Great set list and amazing musicians. Theatrical rock defined. The venue was perfectly suited to the show. The bassist was American and kicked ass. The rest were Swedish.

(10,624 posts)I couldn't get down with Ghost because of their over-the-top, cartoonish Satanism. But I thought their set was well-played and professional.
Iron Maiden, on the other hand, was simply amazing. I did not expect that much energy from a band their age. Bruce Dickinson is a monster of a showman.

(1,537 posts)They are as good or better then the heyday, don't think it's about money or ego for those musicians, just a desire to put on great shows throughout the world. And they do that.
