(7,813 posts)That's one of those albums that every record collection had to have. I could sing along with every song - and did.

(26,549 posts)Buying two each of my favorite albums. One to play and the other to save. So my kid got something on the order of fifty unopened LPs, and a total of 400+.

(25,504 posts)And predicted that by the time I was 30, I would cut my hair short, get my hair permed, wear high heels every day, listen to boring music, enjoy going to church. Cuz that is what my mom did.
None of this has happened. (Except I did get a perm in 1987 ~ when everyone went through that perm phase)

(220 posts)Hi,
The newly remastered CD hit the stores last friday & it was worth it. You can hear things you never heard before, it is fantastic. I bought the 2CD deluxe set with outtakes & the 2 singles not on the album. Penny Lane & Strawberry Fields. My 64th is soon this summer, I never thought I would still be buying Beatles albums.
Get ready for the next Remaster, The White Album is being done now by Giles Martin, son of George Martin. The results should be incredible.

(5,810 posts)It is now in the possession of my oldest grandson (age 19) because of his love for all kinds of music, but especially the Beatles. He took guitar lessons for 6 years and one of the first songs he learned was Black Bird. The actual first was the opening bars to Smoke on the Water. 😂😂😂
Now he's a pretty decent blues and rock guitarist, has had his own band, writes and plays his own compositions, in addition to his favorites. The kid is old school and loves vinyl. So who better to have that favorite old album of mine?? He also has my copy of Meet the Beatles.
