How could I pull off a world-wide global-warming hoax? Asking for a friend.

My... friend... is this country. It's really big. And it has lots of money. How could this... friend... make the whole world believe that it were getting warmer?

I mean, it could bribe every single scientist working in this field. Every last one, on the whole planet, with none of them saying No and with none of this bribery ever becoming known.

Or it could manipulate all the sensors used to make the measurements, hack into all the satellites measuring temperatures of air and seawater. Again, without anybody ever finding proof for that.

And it could somehow create the illusion that Virginia and Florida are slowly sinking into the sea. Shouldn't be that hard to fake that the tide is getting higher and higher in Virginia and Florida. Without anybody ever stumbling on proof that they are geoengineering the whole coast-line of a foreign country.

That Conservatives and the fossil fuel industry has convinced a significant portion of this country into believing that is the case.

Then it makes no difference to them. As #fakepresident has shown us you could lie every day, con 5,000 people out of $35,000 each, sell out to Putin, or murder someone on 5th Avenue in broad daylight.
