He could have left the sky for last and painted according to what the sky was doing during the last minutes. And then snapped the pic.
Photoshopping seems contrary to the original intent, which is a trompe l'oeil piece. I mean, if he was gonna photoshop, he wouldn't need paint.

(52,293 posts)the artist would have to not only paint up close a perspective at a distance, but also account for the curvature of the tree.
not impossible, some people have a well-developed talent for this sort of thing, but way, way easier to photoshop.
until i see the flattened, unwrapped version, i'm assuming this was a photoshop and the real illusion was to make us think he actually painted it.

Or that just because something is way way easier to cheat on, that is what they must have done.
Sad that Photoshop has made these kinds of illusionary magical acts of art so suspicious now.

that shows that it's real.
it's the absence of that alternate vantage point that makes me skeptical.
