me. That and risk of stroke. Hopefully I will be less inclined to munch now. And have an easier time sticking to my 8-16 fast diet. Saw Book Of Mormon tonight. I had water at intermission. I can do this.

(118,808 posts)messes with your sugars. I had just bought a soda stream. I can now use it for sparkling waters of different flavours.

(19,974 posts)A bad phase of 3 or 4 pints a day for a few months and my stomach felt really uncomfortable after it. I now drink a minimum of 4 pints of still water every day, but am still drinking about a pint of diet coke. I'm going to try and go off it completely for May. I find carbonated drinks cause more wind, which has a knock on effect, for me, of being less regular.

I must admit, the REAL sodas, with real sugar, are much more refreshing that HFC laden drinks.
But...sugar, and other stuff, no longer sits well with me, so I have let them alone.

(36,827 posts)Occasionally I will make homemade root beer or add some other flavored syrup to carbonated water, but the vast majority of the time I drink it plain or with a bit of fresh lemon or lime juice. The problem with pretty much any sweetener is overuse. The more you use the more you crave it and the less enjoyment you get from it. Sweetened soft drinks are basically liquid candy. They are great in moderation but terrible when overused.

(32,727 posts)When I feel a little light headed or really hungry I eat one peanut. Last night I went to sleep early and forgot to eat so I went 30 hours. Ate about 250 calories all day

(3,818 posts)Just eat within a five hour window, usually 5-10, or 6-1100PM. I usually just eat one major meal and a snack or two, much easier for me than counting calories. If you want more info, let me know.

(3,818 posts)I probably told you this before, but I buy Knudson's Unsweetened Cranberry Juice or store brand which is half the price (!), dilute it 4:1 with water and sweeten with Stevia. Makes for a great low-calorie, low-carb drink. Lemonade and Iced Tea with Stevia or Monk Fruit sweetener would be good too.
I'm still doing my Fast-Five Diet. Recently started doing more low-carb and added walking 2-4 miles per day, when I can. The weight is finally coming off again. Feels great!
