Though, they seem to be giving it the Young Adult/Teen romance vibe. It's been years since I've actively read comics and I don't remember much about Cloak & Dagger other than them being a blonde girl and a black guy that were always together.

But, maybe that was just me.

I think making it romantic has interesting possibilities, instead of the overdone: will they / won't they scenario.
Just make it: they WILL but what are the consequences of that?

It's a very co-dependent relationship, as he literally feeds on her to keep his constant hunger at bay. So how does that physical reality affect their emotional relationship? Very interesting territory to explore, IMHO.

but, I don't remember the comics playing it up all that much? But, maybe when I was young, I glossed over that romantic stuff? Plus, I often saw them when they teamed up with Spider-Man or somebody else as opposed to out on their own, so it was also maybe not emphasized when they were guest stars in Marvel Team-Up or Marvel Two-In-One.
