I was out taking photos of my blooming plum tree and saw it was full of honey bees. And I accidentally managed to get a photo of one heading in for a landing.

(130,933 posts)It's so difficult to catch the bees, I don't even try!

So the more pictures we get the better.

(21,946 posts)But! We have never had more than 1 or 2 plums a year from them.

(26,263 posts)I found one on the ground, and looked up to see a lot of plums. I inherited this property, so I did none of the landscaping and had always thought it was an ornamental tree! Last year, with the drought, I had a few plums, but nothing like the year before. I'm going to keep an eye on things, this year.
That's really cool! 🐝

(26,263 posts)I had a couple of really bad Springs, after losing my mom, sister, and aunt. Well, to be honest, a couple of really bad years, and nothing fired up my enthusiasm. This year, I feel the tide is turning and I can start channeling my energies into something other than grieving. Baby steps, but baby steps in the right direction. Good thing, too, because that prolonged period of lethargy wrecked havoc with my flower beds! I've really got my work cut out for me!

Great shot, tho!

(26,263 posts)Hopefully I didn't jinx us. We've been buried in snow in April, in the past!

(3,186 posts)I wouldn't wish more snow on my worst enemy at this point!

(26,263 posts)We had just two "major" snowfalls - both just one week apart and, as I recall, early in the season. The last storm, a few weeks ago, was a total bust.
We had two horrible winters in 2013 and 2014 with record snowfall and low temperatures so 2015 and 2016 being relatively normal was wonderful.

(8,632 posts)My wife and I recently went to Lake Balboa to check out the cherry blossoms. We got some good shots of bees on video but not the still camera. I wish we could have snapped a shot like you did!
