Like others, when I listened to the lyrics of "I Can't Feel My Face When I'm With You," I thought it was an odd tribute to a woman that he was infatuated with.
Then I learned that the song's references were to drugs. Cocaine makes your face go numb, apparently! Since finding out the real meaning of the song, I've explained it to a few people and watched as they grasped the intent with a mix of puzzlement and being rather disturbed at the thought.
