New Easter tradition?

Many years ago, on the day before Easter, my ex-wife and I set out to fill an Easter basket for our young nephew. We wanted it to be both fun and practical, so we called his mother to find out what he could most use. After some thought she said that he can always use socks. So along with the green plastic grass, the Cadbury eggs, and the chocolate bunny, we put in about a half dozen pair of colorful socks rolled up into egg-shaped balls.

For years thereafter, he believed that getting socks was a traditional part of Easter. For all I know, he still does.

Happy Easter, and I hope the bunny brought you socks.

Husband and I filled some eggs with little notes and favors as treats to each other. It was a blast to hide and find all the eggs, now we have a basket of various favor coupons. Some have already been redeemed!

I think we will continue this tradition.
