Been binging House of Cards all week: Wow! They're monsters!

I'd like to think people aren't really like this....

I think it's true, though, that people set their sights on something, and truly believe acquiring or losing something will really make them happy. But it never works, no matter how much they get. They always want something else.

It's so complicated and twisted I lose track of who's on who's side. And they all keep changing sides.

It was like a Republican Fascist paradise the policy proposals were ridiculous like getting rid of social security to "create jobs" and the whole nation praised it making him the most popular President in history. The show ctually sells these right wing policies as good ideas and all the characters that have a hint of morality are hated by those around them.

I like the British House of Cards better and the actor was more convincing as a charming sociopath.

...and yes, he had sociopath DOWN! I started watching the American version because I liked the Brit original so well... I probably watched four or five American episodes and saw enough. Besides it reminded me far too much of the American political situation.
