So many colors and variations. It always feels like he's taking you on a journey. And he throws in different styles and concepts not for novelty's sake.
I'm only now discovering him.

I have a recording of Beethoven's Violin Concerto that he composed a cadenza for. Really interesting and unusual without sounding out-of-place in a early-19th work like that.
