Many years ago we had to install a lock on our old fridge after a foster Lab mix and our Golden mix figured out how to open it and plowed through a Chuck roast I had thawing for dinner. Our Golden mix had never done it before so I suspect the Lab was a bad influence.

We have a golden retriever mr buddy who my wife says and she is correct that buddy is a rule follower. if mr buddy was a human he would be like Sheldon from Big Bang theory although more loving. Then we get to boog the chocolate lab he has a huge heart but if he were human I told my wife he would be John belushi from animal house.

Although most Goldens I've known seem to have a weakness for soft toys like stuffed animals and they'll tend to... umm.. 'borrow' them.

Usually giving them their own helps abate that a bit and at least they're normally sort of gentle with them unlike terriers and other ratting breeds who prefer to shred and 'kill' them.

We joke as a golden he is a toy collector he is gentle with them. Even the toys that squeak it is like oh no I'm hurting it. But boog give him squeak toy it is destuffed in no time look guys I got the squeaker. Totally two different dogs it was warm other day we walked down to the stream boog is in in a flash fun times. Buddy stands on the bank next to my wife.

I'll bet Boog keeps him on his toes. It's fun to watch the different breed personality types deal with each other.

So the dog was stealing frozen meat and taking it somewhere. Hiding it under a bed? The dog daddy will have to go through the house to find all that stuff.
I think I'd prefer to live with a dumb dog.

Thank goodness my black lab buddy hasn't figured out the refrigerator - yet. My frig is like the one in the video - totally accessible to a smart and determined dog.

Zeus has however cleared the counter of anything that is even remotely edible. Usually carries the stolen treasurer to the rug in the family room to consume it. Amazing what a pound of butter or two bags of Easter chocolate - with foil - can do to a dog's elimination habits. The bowl of raw bread dough rising on the counter resulted in an emergency trip to the vet. And only because I saw him eat the last of the dough. Otherwise he probably would be referred to as the "Late Zeus Dog". This was all before I realized what an incredible counter surfer the ol' boy is. Does help me keep my kitchen free of clutter though as nothing is sacred to the Mouth of Zeus.

I have returned to trash and recycle turned-over and all the cans removed from pantry and placed on the couch, but never to the fridge opened. We have exactly the same type of fridge/freezer, too.

that pup dog has put together.

The owner's groan and the fact that there is a camera indicates he's been at this for a while.
