3. I thought it would happen last night

Every time I'd see that tail go up, I'd think "OOO - Finally the baby!!" but it would always be another poo.

I finally gave up and fell asleep.

It never did for my mares. I had one graze while she was lying down with her foal partway out. She was completely casual about the event an didn't see any reason to ignore the green grass right there in her face.

I can remember being so pregnant I could only sleep sitting up in a recliner. Can you imagine carrying around a six foot, 150 pound baby--with hooves?
