One of my heroin addicts, whom I have been trying to get into treatment for several clinic visits now, came in this afternoon and said he wants to get treated for his addiction. We got him into de-tox. Life is good...

I'm so happy...

This time last year, I was mourning the deaths of three patients all who died within a week of each other. (No, I didn't have anything to do with their deaths...)

One of mine today was an early teen girl in for her yearly well visit. She has pulled out all her upper eyelashes.

Concoction. Then I googled it, and realized the ingredients sound pretty good (citrus and stuff).

Someday I'll have to try one. But I absolutely refuse to use a stupid copper mug.

I'll use a silver trimmed Maté gourd instead...

12. I don't think so. She told mom she does it because of stress.

She is just 13, one of twins. I first met this family on their initial visit to our practice, and the mom is one of my biggest fans, so she always makes the well visit appoinments with me. The young lady did not tell me about the eyelash thing herself. Mom clued me in before the exam. She was in the exam room by herself, so we had a good chat about life in general, and her demeanor and eye contact didn't seem any different from how she usually is.

Mom is going to pursue some counseling for her

14. My younger niece did hair-pulling for a while.

She's very artistic; very sensitive. She was pulling her hair out for a while.

She's better now...
