I hate the fuckin Eagles, man. Don Henley said it was OVER when Glenn Frey died, but guess what?

Eagles and Fleetwood Mac will headline a pair of new music festivals to take place on the east and west coasts this summer.

According to Billboard, the two veteran bands will top the New York- and Los Angeles-based Classic East and Classic West concerts. While no official word has been announced on these shows, Billboard reports that they will take place at Citi Field in New York and at Dodgers Stadium in California.

Organizers undoubtedly saw the money taken in last year by the two-weekend Desert Trip festival, which featured performances by some of classic-rock’s biggest names, including the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and the Who.

This will be the Eagles’ first live performance since the death of co-founder Glenn Frey in January 2016. Don Henley, the only original member left in the band these days, previously said the Eagles were breaking up following Frey’s death. But the Eagles have broken up before, and that didn’t stick either.

you weren't very fond of Glenn Frey!

There are so many possible undercurrents going on here...

We saw the Eagles in the summer of 2015. I was basically just tired of hearing their songs but the concert gave me a new appreciation of them. Good concert.

I think it was 2015 - one of those more recent tours. Loved every song and especially the Joe Walsh stuff - not even an Eagles song but they did In The City and that made my night. Plus the real Eagles songs too.

They certainly don't need money. As a 68 year old working musician, I plan to play until I can't! My mom played at a good level until she was 80. I'm not sure I can make it that far!

I was out on the pier, and I said, "Hey, that band's covering a Blue Öyster Cult song!" Then I got over to the bandstand, and it was them!

They were as tight as you'd expect Blue Öyster Cult to be, and they did all the great hits.

Just to provide some Eagles contrast.
