This is sarcastic because FL didn't vote for GW but the crooked pols didn't count the vote correctly and staged a mob scene to shut down the true counting.

"Pennsylvania: it's Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, with Alabama in between."

My cousin lives in Connecticut, and when he's down here to see family he always stocks up on Lebanon balogna, sticky buns, etc. Says our real state motto should be "Eat your way through Pennsylvania."

...as too many people know it already and are loving us to death."

New Jersey has the highest population density in the nation, because basically, everyone with an ounce of sense wants to live here, even if a racist obnoxious bigot named Chris Christie is our governor.

We don't do well picking Governors, but somehow we still remain the best State in the Union in which one would want to live if one wants culture, protected open space, history, great universities, great science and access to great art.

New Jersey once officially wanted to advertise itself as "We'll win you over." Our last good......governor, that would be Richard Codey, a New Jersey original (who nevertheless once was a professional mortician) objected and opened a contest for a better slogan, and the winning entry was with "Come see for yourself."

Don't come, except for a weekend at the beach or something like that. When I found the real New Jersey, I fell in love and moved here, having escaped California, increasing, regrettably, our population density.

I haven't been there since 2002, when I visited in-laws in Mesa. Of course, I fell in love with Sedona. All the beige is made up for by Sedona alone! And Montezuma's Castle, Biodome, etc. I am going to visit my parents soon-can't wait to feel the warmth after 8 years of not leaving Alaska!

Huge forests up north, and lots of trees here in the south too.
Between Tucson and Phoenix is ugly. The far west part is pretty dry.
