When you go from sea level to 10,000 feet and do heavy exertion, you get severe hypoxia and I guess that means suffocation.

Hawaii: scrapes. Mmmm? Surfing, lava rock, sand & coral could explain the scrapes.

Why the suffocation zone out west?

Since I relocated near the MO border I have been astounded at the aggressive nature of the squirrels and deer I have encountered. Both have threatened to bite and attack.

Then the geese are docile here. Go figure?

Our Southeastern animals are mostly non-threatening. The squirrels and deer are very non-aggressive. The bears, coyotes and poisonous snakes generally avoid people.

Don't know a soul who's suffocated. That's not really an injury, it's a cause of death.
