Grace JONES, "The Sun'll Come Up"

What I like about the Grace JONES version is that she sticks relentlessly to the melody line without any of the glam warblings and trilling off-melody as heard in the Barbra version here & many others. When a song has gotten to the over-played stage, the off-melody versions take over, as if to say I'm-just-too-blasé-for-this-song. What the Grace arrangement does is to leave the variance to the orchestra, which at first seems jarring but then makes the point of the song as being UPBEAT, with Grace drilling the melody like a CONSTANT.
