They say this stuff prevents seasickness. I don't know if that's true, but I'm not taking any chances. This was my third.

I knew they were tall, just from seeing them out on the ocean, but that's about it.

The last big ship I was on, the majority of cabins had round portholes.

Gross tonnage: 225,282
Length: 1187 feet (a little over a quarter mile)
Max Beam: 215 feet
Draft: 30 feet
Max Speed: 22.6 knots

Seeing the photos gives you a perspective of size, but you can't appreciate how big these ships are until you're standing there on the dock looking up 16 stories. The lifeboats set on deck 5. The Titanic's smoke stacks only came up to there.

but I didn't realize it was over twice the tonnage of the Carnival Conquest and almost twice Carnival's newest, biggest ship, Vista.

I got wore out walking back and forth on Conquest - my step-meter would break on that bad boy!

But I'm willing to try lol.

And yeah, as I found out over christmas break, ya can't go wrong with some coconut and pineapple and a lot of rum (I got myself a big jug of pineapple juice, a can of coconut creme and a pretty nice bottle of 7yo Abuelo rum and stayed lubricated throughout my vacation. Didn't go anywhere but I didn't need to).

from walking the length of that ship. There was no direct way to get from my cabin on deck 7 on the starboard bow to the buffet on deck 16 without taking both an elevator and stairs. And going from starboard to port took a little planning. You have two big caverns amidship that you have to navigate around.
The blisters hurt the entire trip.

cargo ships, tankers and container ships. 2 ship had a pool. We did have nice BBQ's from time to time. Although on the last one, the Captain and I had bathtubs.

I would laugh my ass off sailing like that.

It's nice to see people enjoying themselves.

One had it located in the lower portion below the accommodation, The other vessel had one next to the stack higher up.
