(10,418 posts)I'm a trucker and I wish I did all of my trucking south of I-20. As it is I do all of my trucking on I-70 and I-79. Winter sucks. You can always tell the rookies out there or the drivers that usually stay down south. A few snow flakes start to fly and they suck that seat straight up their asses.

They use the area around the field for student parking but forget to warn the students the reason the athletic fields are on that land is because it floods too often to build on. One of the comments about the article said "The bowl has been a flood zone since I graduated in 1991!" No - it had flooded for decades longer than that. I lived a few blocks away in the mid 1970s and it flooded back then and had been known for flooding as long as anyone could remember.
That year, a kid drowned down the street trying to help a motorist whose care had been caught in the flooding.
