How do I upload a picture into a thread or comment box? I have star membership.

1. You need a photo hosting site like photobucket or imgur

from there you can upload pictures from your computer to the photo hosting site. Then you can copy a link from the photo hosting site and paste it in your posts here.

You can also upload pictures from the web to the photo hosting sites.

6. No, there are other photo sites that can be used

I upload my pictures to my own website and share them from there so I don't know the various free photo sharing sites. Others here or in the Photography section can help you with the alternatives.

8. How to post an image on DU using Imgur (without creating an account):

1) Go to imgur.com Click the down arrow in the green box and choose Upload Images.

2) Click the Browse button to upload a downloaded picture from your computer.

3) Choose the picture you want to upload and click Open.

4) Hover your mouse over the picture, click the down arrow and choose Get share links.

5) From Share Options, choose BBCode (Forums) and click Copy.

6) Paste the copied link into the body of your DU post. Done!
