Finally spray-washed the house. Easier than I expected.

LOVE getting annoying chores done. Those of us up in cold-weather country have to prep for snow and long dark winters.

3. Yuppers! I didn't want to hire a power washer: I didn't want the water underneath the siding

Luckily, I have windows on the 2 walls that needed washing on the 2nd story, so I got those by leaning out the windows.

2. I scrubbed down my house last spring.

It wasn't too bad. I did it myself so I saved a bunch of money. That made me feel good when I got the job done. I had mildew on my house so it was a little rougher than had that not been the case.

4. I had some mildew, too. Now that I know it's easy, I'll keep at it, and hopefully

stay ahead of the mildew from now on.

5. Just spent 5 days last week cleaning up after Hurricane Matthew.

Hated thinking every morning I woke up that we had to go out and work cleaning the yard. But it had to be done. It is done, and there's definitely a sense of accomplishment once we finished.

9. Yes, we we're very fortunate.

We're in NE FL, eye stayed just off shore, or it would have been much worse. Neighborhoods near us had flooding, but we escaped with just a lot of tree damage and debris. Dodged a bullet. Thanks for asking.

6. I washed and painted part of a picet fence last spring...

I am a terrible painter but it's outside so it doesn't matter much. More about protection from the weather as you said.

Then the pollen hit so I had to stop. And then the brutal heat arrived so I had to stop.

Now it's finally decent again and I have a short window before the leaves fall to mess things up again. And now I don't feel like doing it.
