My dad had this movie on video. I remember him playing it for us, when I was a kid. I bought it myself, on DVD... Anyone ever a fan
of this movie? Its hella old, but oh so good!
**Edited to note: Godzilla would have kicked its shiny metal a$$.

(29,414 posts)I think the last time I saw it was when I was a teen and it came on a Saturday afternoon (when the local station aired all the old B-movies.) I'll have to see if it's available online somewhere, or see if Netflix has it. I remember the premise wasn't too bad, but I'm sure the acting was
Look for the movie "The Monolith Monsters" for another interesting premise and bad acting
This site has some great "bad" movies and old TV-shows for torrent download. Although I see they also offer $1 direct-download of titles with a five-download minimum. Might be worth the price for some of them
edit: kind of helps to give the link mentioned...

I'll see if it's on Netflix
Here's one I was just talking about with some friends last night: The Lost Missile
The plot is this "missile" is an alien craft with a nuclear drive (rocket) and it's leaking as well as out of control. It's also flying at 4000 mph, and low-altitude, the leaking radiation destroying everything under it and in its wake. There are links to the full movie with the trailer above. I've never seen it, but it appears to have also been a precursor to something the USAF and Atomic Energy Commission wanted to build, named Project Pluto. I'm very happy that project got canceled

(12,433 posts)I thought it was the best sci-fi movie ever made back then but I haven't seen it lately. I appreciated the filmmakers' commitment to a simple concept -- a giant robot that sucks energy, so even our vaunted atomic weapons only make it stronger!
