Said Goodbye to our most good-natured cat ever
Alexander was 18 years and 8 months old when we ended his pain. For the last five years, every M-W-F we gave him a sub-q fluid infusion for feline chronic renal failure. He was a little trooper for the treatments, and his quality of life remained good. Finally, he just stopped eating, and nothing we tried helped. It was time to make the most difficult decision. I know a lot of you understand how tough this always is.
No matter what kind of a shitty day I had, he was always there to sit on my lap, purr, and let me know we were best friends. I'm going to miss him very much.

Almost 19 years together. How difficult to finally say good bye. You gave him a wonderful life and he returned your love. RIP Alexander.
He is at peace now.
it's never easy even if we expect it.
It would be so much easier if they died in their sleep. It was your last kindness to him.
So sorry! A cat is such a great friend and it's so hard to lose that friend.
