The opening scene was Sam in a bar with a reporter dealing with the aftermath of Josh making a nasty comment about a christian organization and paying taxes and the President fell off a bike and hurt his ankle. Sam met the call girl that night.

That is a great question about the pallbearer. I wonder if any sitting POTUS has done this. I would assume so, but its an interesting question.

I was just pointing people to the right episodes. Did not mean to throw shade, so to speak. I likewise am a bit of a WW nerd. I love the show.

I love the walk down memory lane AS treated us to in the two Shadow episodes. It was what initially hooked me into the show. I did not watch the first season live. I caught a few episodes that summer and started to love it at the start of season 2. Those two opening episodes were the best TV I had seen, and still are up there with the big money game of thrones type television episodes. Amazing all around.

I miss it so and sometimes wonder how the characters are doing in their world.

I figure we are now in the Baker administration, after 8 successful Santos years, his VP would have won (at least in my mind) and Josh is driving Donna mad since its the first time in 20 years he is not a power broker. I figure he is in a think tank or lobbying. Donna is probably the head of planned parenthood or some other woman's group, workign with Amy. I am hoping Sam is Baker's VP and will eventually prove Jeb right by running for POTUS. CJ is running the greatest world charitable organization and Danny is happy covering the white house. Toby and Andy, still apart, but great parents, are getting Molly and Huck ready for high school. Charlie is a rising star at State is is likely to be deputy secretary soon.

Just how good the acting was, and how much of an emotional impact that show could have.
Probably in my opinion the best TV series ever.
