1. I used to play Lunar Lander in the arcade, 30+ years ago.

When I only had a little bit of fuel left, not enough to land, I'd switch the G's to max, and do a kamikaze at full burn into the surface.

I was almost hitting warp speed when I went splat!

2. I just went and found Adventure Humungous Caves

... the first and last game I ever got addicted to, I of course couldn't download it so I found the 'hints' page and looked up some of the stuff I never did figure out.

The game required having a visual imagination, which I do, and an exceptional sense of direction, which, in a dark cave with a dimming lamp, I don't!

you are in a jumble of rocks, with cracks everywhere.
You have dropped your lantern and cant see.
A pirate just came and stole all your loot. Har de Har Harrrgh!
You have overheated your cellphone reminiscing about a DOS game from ancient history.
Game Over. You lose!

They just don't make them like that anymore.
