On April 1st-or whenever was convenient-we would go into some family member's room at night, while they lay sleeping and waste a bunch of thread(of any color)--and tie strings across the room--tie it to the door knobs, the dresser drawers, the lamp, the windows, anything and everything, so that when they got up to pee or whatever, they would face an impenetrable thready nightmare?

We seemed to do this a lot. God I miss that.

1. We pulled a lot of similar pranks when I was in the military

My favorite was to tie a string to a cork, tie the other end of the string to the far end of someone's bedframe, fill a coke bottle full of water (coke bottles were glass back in those days), cork the bottle, then place it in bed with someone who passed out. Sometime during the night they feel something cold against their leg so they reach down and grab it. When they pull it the cork pops out and the water goes everywhere. You know they found it when you hear a scream and cursing in the middle of the night.

Another version of this is you put a towel in the sink and you fill a rubber up with water until it gets to be about the size of a 2 liter pop bottle, then you tie the end off with a wire tie. You use the towel to gently move the rubber and place it into a drunk's bed. Sometime during the night they either roll over on it or try to grab it which causes it to burst.
