Ha ha! Birthday gift for 3-year-old is mesmerizing the kittehs

Today I was at a Big Lots and bought a Butterfly Jar for the little girl in the fam who adores all kinds of critters.

This mason-style jar has a colorful butterfly thingy inside attached to some kind of wire, and the butterfly flutters and flips and acts very very real. Fun to watch.

I put it on the LR table. The cats went nuts. Sitting, watching, listening to it for long, long periods of time.

It's a great cat toy!

Anyway, we always had to put it up in a closet when they hatched because the kitties were plotting murder. It drove them crazy. We released the butterflies not long after their transformation.
