Help! Desparate for Unlocking an Ipad when I forgot my password

I recently bought an Ipad and for the life of me I don't remember the password I set it up with (and of course I didn't sync it with my computer).

What on earth can I do to reset it and change the password. I can't seem to get past the password and of course I keep getting locked out.

Help!

I don't know if they charge for that, but it might well be worth it.

Good luck!

on her iPad -- forgot the password -- and I think after you try a certain amount of times it locks it up and erases everything.

She went to the Apple store and they couldn't do anything.

she now backs up automatically to the cloud, but didn't know about that prior to this.

Sorry, hope you get yours open.

Reminder to everyone: back your stuff up.

Make an appointment, they'll get it up and running.

I did this with my daughter's. Much easier than working through the dozens of so called helpful posts on the message boards.
