A bright, charismatic 29 year old man who I worked with in County government. A caring and passionate Democrat, engaged be married to his high school sweetheart. The funeral was yesterday, it was just heartbreaking.
Please please SLOW DOWN. 6 people lost their lives, a married couple, a 27 year old woman, a 10 year old boy and my friend Scott.
Just so tragic. And for nothing lives are lost and shattered.

Yes, drivers need to slow down. Being five minutes late is not worth risking your life.
Peace and comfort to you and the gentleman's other family and friends.

(100,105 posts)That happened to someone who I know and know pretty well earlier this year - his son was killed when he took his Dodge Challenger going 110 MPH in a 35MPH zone, tires blew out and the car hit the curb, spun out, and flipped over. It's very sad when that happens. I think about it every time I drive by that area.

(6,821 posts)a huge factor in auto accidents where there are multiple victims. Distracted driving -- phones and texting -- and thought to be contributing factors.
Great sign I saw this summer as I entered Utah on Interstate 80 West -- "Texting and driving? Cell No!"
