The DU Lounge

I heard this song late at night on my NPR/college radio station and it was so amazing it woke me up. It's similar to a Dave Grisman work but when the DJ said the names of the musicians, I didn't recognize any of them. It's mandolin, guitar, bass and violin. It is the fastest playing I ever heard. I was thinking it was recorded at 33 but played at 45, though the notes all seemed pure. Searched the YT but all I could find was baseball videos or the song "Stealing", which this definitely wasn't.
It was a ripping good tune and I'd love to hear it again. Just thought I'd ask on the off-chance someone here might be familiar with it.

(35,015 posts)A six pack of Mexican Coke - made with cane sugar not HFCS. I can vouch it tastes better. Cheers!
Isn't that amazing? I guess there is banjo, not guitar. Whatever, I sure would like to see them play.
Thank you so much.

Mexican Coke is great! They sell it at my grocery, a buck fifty for a small bottle. It's a nice indulgence on occasion.
Thanks for taking the time.

(35,015 posts)I'm glad you found the performer of that song - it's really good. And now you know he'll host Prairie Home Companion!
Teamwork!!
BTW, I'm lucky enough to live in San Antonio; when I want a treat I go to my local Taqueria for breakfast tacos and a Mexican coke.

(8,310 posts)This is the guy who will be hosting "Prairie Home Companion" starting in Oct. I heard a couple of the older shows he was on and was wowed by his music.
What a nice surprise.
