Little bit of a ride, but just hop onto 495 south and head for Concord and Lexington. So much to see, so much early American History. Have a great time.

Oh and it isn't the North Coast of Boston. It's just the North Shore.

great in general). The Saugus Iron Works is really interesting, if you've never seen anything like it. There are a lot of places to bike near and along the coast (which is gorgeous), and the various towns/cities along the coast--Gloucester, Portsmouth, etc--all offer historical interest and good walking, shopping, sitting opportunities...

And it's 4500 miles from where I live. We love it there. We go to Truro, which is different from where you're headed, but I'm sure you'll love it.

If you've never seen whales up close, make sure to go on a whale watch. They have been very frisky this year, and once you've seem them up close, you'll understand why "save the whales" is more than just a cliché expression.

and then if you are interested in outlet shopping Kittery ME. Tons of stores:

If you go to Kittery you should make a stop at this candy store - lots of good old school candy

If you like seafood, I recommend Brown's in Seabrook NH - it's BYOB, casual, good food
