I picked up 33 baby chicks at the Post office this morning -

They hatched in Iowa Friday, rode a truck to Minneapolis, caught a plane to Atlanta, caught another plane to Rochester, rode over night to Syracuse and were waiting for me Sunday morning!

We got 10 red pullets and 10 straight run dual purpose something or others.

Your post office is open on Sunday?

got the first by mail order back in Feb. - skunk got 'em all, second batch will be 5 weeks old this week. Got them at the feed store. Barred Rocks. Pretty sure I got one rooster in there (supposed to be all pullets) which is Ok. I have three grown hens laying now (a barred rock, some pretty all-black breed I don't know what she is and one Spanish black banty) and three obnoxious Spanish banty roosters.
