The 2' x 2' box of fur

We have barn cats. Actually, they are corn crib cats, because we tore down the barn. There are eight of them. One of the reasons we have so many is that it keeps the rodent population down. Another of the reasons is that stupid people who live in town think it is perfectly all right to dump cats in the country.

It works out, though. We have cats who take care of the rodents, and we take care of them. All eight are large, healthy things. We spoil them with food and treats. They may sleep in an outbuilding, but they live by the back door, and get plenty of attention.

Yesterday, I received a delivery of some china. The box it came in was only about two feet by two feet, and only about one kitty deep. My husband was going to put the box in the recycling. But I looked outside before I went to bed. All eight cats were crammed in the box, sleeping. I don't know why they chose the box, small as it is. It is just another of those cat mysteries.

They will probably lose interest in it soon, but they are funny, aren't they?

3. This is useless without pictures!

I am left to use my imagination as to just how cute that is! Cute story----there are so many cat mysteries. They just do what they are gonna do. But one thing that is not a mystery is that there is an attraction between cats and boxes.
