how would I ggogle to find my state's highest LOW temperature?

I have tried "highest low" and "Hottest low" - all I get is record highs and record lows.

It has been so hot the last 3 nights that I am curious how hot it has ever been overnight.

Eastern Iowa - only got to 78 last night + gawd awful humidity for a THI of ohfuckitshot

4. National weather service has a link for the past three days at location

Go to http://www.weather.gov/ put in your city & state in the little box to the upper left. That will go to the seven day forecast.

At the top under More Information there is a link for 3 Day History. That will have the stats for the last three days.

If you want longer back than that, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Local Climatology. There you can select for more specific data for the last two months or go their archives to look farther back.

Iowa's was -47
Lowest in my area that I remember was -36.

I know I have seen the highest minimums someplace before.

6. I'm having some luck with 'record highest overnight low'

as my search phrase. You should be able to drop in your location after that 'record highest overnight low Phoenix, AZ' or whatever, and get something.

7. Oddly, I did get the lowest high temp for a date with that phrase

but mostly I got the same listing of record highs and lows.

The reason I am curious is that the worst part of climate change is that the earth just doesn't cool as well or as quickly. I was wondering if that were a trend - are our minimums now getting higher?

ETA - I did find this interesting article chronicling 2012's heat, but no specific temps.
ETA - here's the link if your curious http://www.livescience.com/21952-record-temperatures-heat.html

8. Have you tried calling it an overnight low or a highest minimum temperature?

EDIT: Apparently there's a band called The Overnight Lows, so definitely put "temperature" in there.

there have been some stories of high overnight temps, but they just weave some of the temps into the story.

I note that the upper 70s to low 80s seems to be the range I am seeing in what data I can find also - I saw some for Oklahoma and Minnesota. So I am guessing our 78 the other night is probably among the warmest ever around here.

what an ugly night that was.
Supposed to be @65 or so tonight with much lower humidity.
