(6,129 posts)I was just watching the news when I realized that it's Sunday, so I came here for some comic relief.
I got more than that. Could it be that life makes sense after all? Thank you so much. I don't think you know what you do for troubled hearts.

(65,487 posts)I will often seriously suffer when needing to go to the bathroom rather than disturb a cat on my lap. I am in distinguished company, though. (Note: The story about Muhammed is often told about Churchill instead, and the robe is transmuted into an expensive coat. Doesn't matter. Every person owned by cats recognizes the situation.)
Albert Schweitzer 1875-1965
Although left-handed, Dr. Schweitzer would often write prescriptions with his right hand because his cat Sizi liked to sleep on his left arm and could not be disturbed.
Prophet Mohammed advised the people to treat their cats (pets) as a member of their family, and by this he meant to take a good care of them. Not only by words, but also with his actions he was a very good role model. For example: the stories of Muezza, the Prophet Muhammads favourite cat: The most famous story about Muezza recounts how the call to prayer was given, and as Prophet Mohammed went to put on one of his robes, he found his cat sleeping on one of the sleeves. Rather than disturbing the cat, he cut off the sleeve and let him sleep. When he returned, Muezza awoke and bowed down to Prophet Muhammad and in return he stroked him three times. It is also believed that when Prophet Muhammad gave sermons within his household he would often hold Muezza in his lap.

(30,761 posts)cute, funny. Thanks for taking all the time to put these together.
I like the deer. We have a young deer in our side yard this summer. It is fun to see him once in awhile. He is not afraid, but we have to keep our dog away from that area.

(113,552 posts)possible way to pick a favourite in this wonderful collection of awwwww and squeeee. (the shampoo cat reminded me of one of my old babies, who absolutely ADORED balsam shampoos, and would nuzzle my hair (and that of visitors who also used a balsam shampoo). please give crystal a big hug from me, and I wish you both a wonderful and peaceful week.
now, off to share with your ever-growing legion of off-site (not to mention, demanding and impatient!!) fans.
