The soundtrack to a nightmare.

I'm a part of something called the Music Meditation Project. It is as it sounds. The idea is to enhance the perception of awareness through music. All of the people who make music in the project have no formal training in music except for the organizer Charles Ramsey.

I think we had our best session, at least that I've been a part of, last Monday. At the link you will find MP3s of four different improvisations. I am particularly fond of the last one which I call Soundtrack to a Nightmare. It has a mandolin, a scraper, a bead rattler, a pot lid with a spoon, a guitar, a synthesizer, and a banjo on it. I'm on banjo. It's the last MP3 listed. The others are interesting as well, but that last one was wonderful in my mind. Keep in mind- totally improvised and no formal training in music. We were all spread out in a large, dimly lit room for that session. The music fit my mood lately perfectly.
