On March 30, 1981, John Hinckley ruined my 13th birthday. Anyone else have this happen?

I was all excited about my birthday party that was to happen later in the night when the news came over the radio that President Reagan had been shot. Suddenly, nobody cared about my birthday. At 13, I was old enough to understand how this event overshadowed my birthday, but it stll sucked.

It could be worse. I know two people who have a birthday on September 11.

My birthday is on Dec 31st.

It doesn't matter if the world is coming to an end. There's always a party.

...I was born the day Johnson was elected President and I turned 44 on the day we elected our 44th President (and I had pneumonia...bleh).
