Slowly taking over England

Papillifera bidens is a Mediterranean snail that was discovered in Cliveden, U.K. in 2008 by volunteers who were cleaning the statues and gardens. The Cliveden snail colony arrived on a balustrade imported from Rome in 1896. Over 100 years later, the snail-paced colony was still largely contained in a 60 yard radius.
