So my father was estranged from most of his family except a couple sisters. I have uncles I never knew existed until I met one once when my aunt attempted to create a reconciliation between him and one of his brothers. Didn't happen and that was 40 or so years ago.
Anywho, I was just googling around about my family and discovered that this particular uncle's son married YoYo Ma's daughter a couple years ago!
So does that make YoYo's daughter my cousin-in-law? And YoYo Ma my uncle-in-law?!?!

(82,333 posts)Assuming your uncle's son had a child with YoYo Ma's daughter.
It also makes YoYo Ma's wife your uncle's son's Yo MaMa-in-Law.

(14,881 posts)my 1st cousin Eli was named after his father (Eli, my uncle).
And it's my 1st cousin once removed (my cousin Eli's son) who married YoYo Ma's daughter.
So my 1st cousin once removed has YoYo Ma and Mrs. YoYo Ma as in-laws. And I'm 1 generation further away than I initially thought.
My 1st cousin once removed looks a LOT like my father, except the hair and eye colors. I'd recognize that schnoz anywhere
