When Wes McGuirk returned to his Louisville, Nebraska, home from dinner Saturday night, he couldn’t find his 120-pound Great Dane Kora anywhere.

He was searching his front yard with a flashlight, when, suddenly, “I heard the whimper again, and it was above me,” McGuirk told KOLN. Sure enough, there was Kora, standing on a tree branch some 20 feet about the ground.

“I was like, ‘How on earth did you get up there?'” McGuirk thought.

After trying for 30 minutes to get the large dog down to safety, he decided to call for help.

As the owner relayed the story as people came into help him the first thing everyone had to do as they encountered the situation was to take out their phones and take some pictures of the Great Dane in the tree.

That included the owner as he also took pictures first thing.

He also said when he called whatever rescue squad he called they just didn't believe his story of a Great Dane up a tree.
